Their own Day Centre has long gone, demolished to make way for the building of a Tesco, but the group keep protesting to challenge the council on Day Centre provision in the county. My friends and I covered the wall around the site with creative graffiti – poems, pictures, slogans, quotes… We dressed as super heroes: Twm Siôn Cati (‘the Welsh Robin Hood’), Hit Girl, V and… And a man in a white lab coat and trilby! (who knows with Bongo!). Afterwards, we drank good beer at the pub, sitting out in the sun (in my memory anyway) in the courtyard by the train station. In the evening, Lotte and I went out to eat Caribbean food. In the words of Lou Reed: ‘This was a perfect day…’
